Introducing a New Feature - Instant Messaging

We are pleased to announce instant messaging is now available on HealthUnlocked.

We have had a large amount of people asking us to develop this feature and we are delighted to now have it running for all users on HealthUnlocked.

People can now have instant conversations with users, which is quicker and easier than what was previously available on the platform. New messages also instantly appear on a message thread without any need to refresh the page. You will also be able to see when someone else is typing or responding to your message.

Once you get there, it works well, thank you.

Trouble is it still takes about TWO FULL MINUTES to go from clicking on Messages below my profile until the the messages page appears.

saw it happening before it was announced. you can miss messages if you leave a page open. The messages appear when you have an open tab on a browser but no post notification so you can close that page without checking it and the messages are marked as read and you may miss them.

come back to the tread later and you wonder how could I miss those posts and IM is the reason.

would have been nice to know that this was coming BEFORE it arrived.
