Welcome to the British Lung Foundation in the Midlands region.

With an office base in Leicester, we cover the East and West Midlands which has a combined population of 9.5 million. In addition to Birmingham's 1million, there are three cities in our region with over a quarter of a million residents (Coventry, Stoke and Wolverhampton) each with legacies of industry that contribute to high localised prevalence of lung disease.

We work closely with Respiratory Leaders within the NHS at regional and local level to support their work in improving the quality of services for people with lung disease.

At time of writing we have 34 open and active Breathe Easy self help support groups, all of which are organised and run by fantastic volunteers who have experience of life with lung disease and who are committed to providing support, information, and hope to anyone affected by lung disease. Many of the groups are fortunate to have regular support of healthcare professionals who bring medical expertise to their activities. You will find a full list of our Midlands groups on the BLF web site.

If you would like to know more about the work of the BLF Midlands team, we'll be pleased to hear from you. You can e-mail us midlands@blf-uk.org or give us a call on 0116 2495 780.
