With apologies to Jenny Joseph..my take on when I am old I shall wear purple

Now I am old I can wear purple pyjama s and a red dressing gown-cos I'm in lockdown.

I spend my money on the internet on solar lights and brandy. But I say I have no money for butter.

I shall sit behind my window because i am sheilding.

I will gobble up biscuits and keep turning on the kettle.

I will waive at every one passing and put rainbows in my windows - and this will make up for the sobriety of my youth

I will wear my slippers all day and garden in my dressing gown.

I will order from Amazon and learn to facetime.

I can wear terrible clothes and grow more fat and eat three pounds os sausages in one go - or the entire contents of my vulnerable food box.

I will hoard hand santizer and toilet rolls.

But now i must not go out in the street as i am sheilding.

I cant have friends round to dinner , but I can read the papers

But mybe I ought to practice a little now what the outside world will feel like.

So the people that know me wont be startled or shaken at my disheveled appearance with awild woman hair do and purple pyjamas

Bo Jo didn't mention the colour purple in his mission statement? and i notice somebody, maybe nanny had made a vane attempt to comb his golden locks to avoid reference to wild man hair.?

I rather fancy going through a purple patch, are gentlemen allowed to do this?i even own a purple dressing gown and have given away my government box and substituted it with blood orange gin and other non vitamin d based unhealthy delights so i have made a bold start to this new era. :)

Detached Ski's and a cat that simply doesn't care.x

I think he still looks unwell.corona virus has taken its toll.

I was just glad he remained sitting. Cats don’t ever care as long as they are fed and Catsan toilet kept clean.stay safe

Scruffy even in her most distressed state has always looked healthier and more in control of current affairs so nothing much has changed this evening. :)

It's not nice is it. I was doing well, just the two exacerbations a year and felt proud of myself for doing all the right things. Now I just need a decent night of sleep and a hair cut. Stay well Ski

I think battling on is a good analogy. At the moment I would liken my battle to a crawl.

Good news ,after being taken to A N E ON VE Day,I’ve just been phoned to say I am Covid negative,so that’s good. Ihad also lefts pleading morning onthe Nurse help line.last evening, cos the answerphone massage had retuned to normal.was surprised when a Dr rung me.

Went through my whinges, she said that as I’m on immunosuppressants,my immunity is low.also discussed shortness of breathe sitting down talking to her.

Sh said she would put me down for a phone appoimeentwithconsultat rheumatoid.

Was rung an hour later given a phone appointment forWedesday evening.

So am currently compiling a list.

Other Alf not happy as I said I’d go on a clinial trial if available.

I’m a pragmatist,he is not.

Stay safe.

I love that, very clever. I wish I had that ability.

I must confess i have been wearing all sorts of colours . I hsve a purple fleece which i bought when i had cataracts . Didnt know it was purple ! At present i wear whatever comes to hand , as long as it is clean! And i cut my own hair when i started to look like a Dulux dog.Now i look even worse!

Then that ditty will strike a chord...

Thank you for the thanks... it was a spur of the moment thing..of adapting it to suit my present situation. One i never would have expected even a few years ago.

I am tempted to cut my hair too.. but the scissors aren't too sharp... my fringe trim was a bit of a fingers crossed episode..

Keep safe

I was going to order a pair of purple pyjamas from amazon last night . I searched for ages until I found what I wanted then at the last minute I stopped just before the Buy Now because I realised I wasn’t old! So hey ho they’re on hold for a few years yet.😀
