Nintedanib , Pros and Cons ?

Nintedanib , Pros and Cons , Hi everybody , I have an appointment on the 6th February to possibly start taking Nintedanib to slow down the process of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis , I also have COPD and Emphysema , I would like to hear from anyone who has or is taking Nintedanib and I would like to know about any side effects that you have experienced or is there a way of taking the tablets to reduce as many side effects as possible , How long have you been taking Nintedanib and has it made any difference and has it slowed down the process of IPF , I look forward to any advice that anyone can offer me , cheers Jaxleo .

Hi Jax, I began taking Ofev two weeks ago, and it has gone fine. So far so good, no side-effects. I take the first dose at 6am, with breakfast, and I take the second dose at 6pm, with dinner, exactly 12 hours between them. This is how the nurse educator who conducted an orientation with me and my family on Ofev said to take it. I have found that following the instructions of one's doctor or nurse is best and leads to fewer complications with medication of any kind. Hope this helps. J

Thank you for your reply , I am glad that everything is going ok for you , I started last Sunday so today is my 6th day and so far so good , I take mine with food approx 12 hours apart like yourself , I am seeing my nurse specialist next Thursday for a blood test and a checkup , hopefully we will be side effect free , I wish you all the best J .
