Some weeks ago I noticed that someone mentioned our dear Sue and wondered how she was doing health-wise; I could not reply to this at the time because she was, in fact, gravely ill and we on A.B.O.F.A were desperately hoping that she would come through the infection as she had so bravely done many times before. Sadly, that was not the case and she passed very peacefully, surrounded by family and friends earlier this month.
I know that many members of H.U. will remember her with great affection – she was always helpful and caring, and her experience in many disciplines of her nursing career gave her the ability to advise and support anyone in need of this help.
She was a key member of our group and her loss is devastating to us since she has been there with her wise words since day one; she will always be in our hearts and, like our founder Vashti, will never be forgotten.
I am so grieved to be the bearer of such sad news but I know that she was loved and respected by so many who would want to know. It was her wish that donations to the BLF in lieu of flowers would be welcome.

Thank you for letting us know,i never communicated with her directly but the fact that i once lived in Watford meant i always remembered her contributions and kind words and i am indeed saddened to hear of her passing,you have lost a dear friend and the world has lost another gentle,kind and nice person.

It is always so sad to hear of such sad news. I am a fairly recent member of this forum and have always found everyone so friendly and helpful. It is people like Sue who make it so special. I would like to add my deepest condolences to her family too. Chrys
What a terrible sadness for her family and friends and all who knew her on BLF and A.B.O.F.A. I shall always remember her little picture alongside her details and conditions. She was a very good looking woman and made time for others. I hope she is now out of pain. R.I.P. "Watfordgirl" 🌹
I met Sue in Pulmoary Rehab at Ottery St Mary Hopital and came to know her as a 'Pal' and advisor and met for coffee a few times. She will be sorely missed and our love and thoughts go out to her family.
Thank you for posting the sad news. Watford Girl & I together with others, served together on the BLF Think Tank. A very stimulating time. Sue was a lovely person, very knowledgeable, caring & fun. She is sadly missed by us all. xx
