Help with pip appeal

Just received my pip assessment report,the assessor has wrote everything opposite to what I said and lied,is anyone going through this regarding pip re-assessment and if so what’s the way forward,how can someone do in around 45 minutes make medical judgements on us that’s taken qualified consultants weeks and months to get proper medical diagnosis’s and get away with doing this,not only that she was very rude and dismissive and cut me off at every opportunity when i asked any questions,I actually complained later that day about her manner to be told i could only formally make a complaint about the assessment when the report had been made,recieved and a decision then made about my re-assessment for pip,I’m absolutely livid about how we’re treated like this when they are provided with medical evidence from the relevant and qualified medical people only for someone not qualified to overrule doctors and consultants,is this happening to most people now being re-assessed for pip as a lot of things I’ve read is saying that this is the case,we’re already ill as it is and this certainly won’t do anything to make us feel better,if anyone can help or advise please do it will be immensely appreciated...fenty.

Hi mine done exactly the same, my daughter was with me cdnt believe what was twisted around, she’s sent in a mandatory report noting all the things she done just waiting to here if I dnt get it I’m going to appeal

The thing is,if we’d have lied like this in filling in the re-assessment form then we’d have been in trouble with the threat of prosecution for giving false information,my wife who’s my career was with me all the way through and couldn’t believe what she’d said on the report,she was rude impolite and never looked at me whilst talking,on the report it said she(the assessor)built up a good rapport with me,she must have dreamt all of the assessment as i don’t know about this at all,she said i was able to walk round,touch my toes,lift my arms up etc,i was laid up with another chest infection ,on doxycycline and prednisalone rescue med so this was impossible,i was livid and rang pip and I’ve complained about these lies,but i have the support of my g.p as he knew about this because my wife rang the surgery to let them know I’d had to use my rescue meds and he made a new prescription for my wife to pick up for my new lot of rescue meds,it makes you wonder just what lengths they’re told to go to,to discredit people at these medical assessments,I’m going to fight this as far as I can go and I don’t care how long it takes to do so even if at the end of it someone admits the report was inconsistent all the way through,I don’t like the thought of anyone losing their jobs,but I’m afraid the woman who did my assessment doesn’t deserve to have this position if all she can do i lie to discredit people and cause distress like this,i didn’t realise until after she’d finished and gone that she never introduced herself,why she was here,she just waltzed input flat and said to me “ I’ll just get comfortable then I’ll start you’re assessment” I’ve made a complaint about this as well but it’s not left me feel any less irate doing so.

There is help out there and plenty of it, you must appeal. I'll send you a message when I find out how to do it.

It’s terrible mine said the doctor had a report in, no they dnt they have now iv sent one in

My neighbor has just returned home after experiencing the sudden removal of two brain tumours about 4 months ago. He will never be working again and his speech has been effected etc. as one would imagine with that happening.

His PIP was stopped because he tried to answer the questions without realising the Machiavellian reasons for them; and consequently didn’t have enough points.

Look on line for information about this. I believe that the majority of tribunals reverse the decision, I believe that the companies involved in this process are probably told to get x amount of people off benefits in the hope that some of those people will not appeal.

It is a blatant example of the vulnerable being targeted and makes me wonder how many people are quietly dying because they do not have the resources or support to fight back.

The people who are robbing the system know the system and what to say so never get their PIP stopped anyway.

My sister who lives near to me has yesterday told me a neighbour a few doors down has prostate cancer,he’s going for treatment everyday and he’s been turned down,he was already receiving pip because of other health issues,she told me he’d sent in medical evidence around 6 months before he recieved his re-assessment form to inform them of a change he had to practically beg a home assessment that capita eventually agreed to yet even after all this and knowing what he’s going through they turned him down,I’m not sure what’s going on with the dwp and capita but it seems they’re in collusion with each other to fail people as much as possible,as with your neighbour this is disgraceful and insulting and i would hope the dwp will apologise to him for this unacceptable behaviour,as for capita i agree that the dwp have put into place “fail as much as possible” and capita and the dwp are having the time of their lives doing this,there a few people where I live who know the system inside out who get top rates of pip and blatantly abuse getting it but as you say it’s these people that ruin it for people who genuinely need it.
