A Long Shot!
You never know - I was surprised when told that asthmatics shouldn't used Vick - I can remember my mum smothering us with it as kids when ever we showed slightest sign of a cold I guess Olbas and vick are both made from eucalyptus. Is it something you now avoid?
Interesting. Actually I was once told you shouldn't use eucalyptus if... But I can't remember what the "if" was! I used to use eucalyptus leaves and that was when I was told the words of wisdom that I've now apparently forgotten.
Menthol and eucalyptus lozengers keep me breathing and I only don't have one while I am eating. Also have eucalyptus oil in my vaporiser. Do hope I am not doing any damage but it just keeps me breathing enough to move about.
Sorry, Forgot to say I am diagnosed as 'severe' COPD although my oxygen level at rest is usually around 97 and around 92 with little activity.
If you are using 'pure essential oils' then eucalyptus is said to be very good for asthma but they must be 'pure' otherwise they could cause damage. I sometimes put them in a burner but they are supposed to be especially good in a proper diffuser which I intend to purchase. Hope this helps
Just a little caution essential oils must be diluted before they go on your skin otherwise may burn it as they are extremely concentrated.
For me (cough sweets )make my breathing terrible and I loose my voice. So gargle with salt water instead.
