CT scan next Monday

Following on from having a chest x-ray last week I'm booked in for a CT scan of my chest and abdomen which includes me being injected with contrast dye. I have received a letter from the hospital explaining the procedure and also mentioning that two hours before hand I should drink a litre of water. What I'd like to know is should I use my inhalers prior to the scan or not.

Hi NicYou should be able to use your inhaler. Your appointment letter will list a number to ring if you have any questions I suggest you give them a ring. I have always found them very helpful.

I have had an awful lot of CT and PET Scans and have never been asked not to take my inhalers. They will not affect the results at all.

Thanks for that 2greys.
