Good? I should say so, that equates to 5.5 mph, most healthy people do is around 4mph with no hanging about. I can only get 2.5 miles in an hour (4 kilometers) but my restriction is my legs with Peripheral Vascular Disease but that is very slowly getting better.

Keep on trucking then lol xxx

As far as I'm concerned - it's brilliant! It was your result and that of another member that convinced me that it was time I posted 'somethig'! See my first post.

Thank you, you've come a long way in five month, dropping the ciggies is an achievement in itself. Good to hear that you'll be starting PR too.

Not tested myself over 3000m but 21 minutes is impressive. Well done.

Hi Angie, just to say that my 2.5 miles is along Bursledon Rd. from near The Range up to Bitterne and then along Commercial St. That encompasses two very steep hills, so in reality I'm very pleased just to get up just one of them let alone both.

I do something similar to interval training. Run/walk that sort of thing and do 3.5k in 30 mins, so not fast but ok. When I finally got on to PR they did the 6 min test and told me I was too fit to do PR!! I told them I really wanted a physio or someone to work out a programme that is designed for me, extends my lung capacity and builds up my strength and stamina without over-exerting my cardiovascular system (sometimes my heart rate exceeds my maximum) They said they didn't have the personnel to do that, which I understand but if I look back at the difference exercise has made to me over the past 6 years, perhaps there wouldn't be as many who are chronically ill if a preventative system were introduced to people who are mild/moderate.
