The British Lung Foundation and Academic Health Science Network for North East and North Cumbria (AHSN NENC) would like to extend an invitation to this networking day on 21 July in Newcastle to people living in the North East and North Cumbria, that have experience of living with a lung condition.
Patient participation and involvement is important to the NHS and other care organisations and this event will help you understand how you can share your experiences. On the day we’ll be covering:
•What is patient involvement?
•Demystifying the NHS commissioning process.
•AHSN NENC Respiratory Programme – what does respiratory care look like in our region?
•Useful tools to use in influencing good respiratory care.
•Sharing your experiences and ideas for involvement.
•Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
You may already be involved as a patient or carer representative, or just interested in knowing more about influencing respiratory care and finding out more about patient involvement in a relaxed, friendly environment. This event will provide a good introduction and opportunity to put your experience as a respiratory patient or carer to good use.
To book please email: bev.wears@blf.org.uk or telephone 07702 591569. It is advisable to book early as places are limited.
