Hi there, don't read that link. It will make you panic and is a general overview of pseudomonas in the community where it can be dangerous to very vulnerable people. It is very different with us. Pseudomonas is one of the bacteria which can colonise damaged lungs, especially in cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis. It needs treatment with specific antibiotics and the good news is that one of the most effective should soon be licensed to take by nebuliser which will be great. I have had it since 1986. I am still here, giving everybody trouble and keeping the little b.....s down. The only precaution I take against it and I may be going over the top- I NEVER sit in jacuzzis. They are breeding grounds for all kinds of bacteria and pseudomonas loves them!

Hope that helps.

I am not insulting you by what I said. I appreciate that you were being helpful. Unfortunately some of these sites give information which is very alarming and can make anyone with a lung disease think that they are in grave danger from it when many can live with it. I did explain this in my reply.

Have you been diagnosed with this? If so, did your GP or consultant not explain the situation to you? If not, maybe time to ask questions to put your mind at rest & get the appropriate treatment. Wishing you well
