Hi, sorry no one replied as I too would like to hear about mirabegnon. I was taking Solifenacin which worked well but I had terrible constipation. I have read that mirabegnon has a much lower side effect of that.

Hi Alloagirl no need to be sorry it’s one of those things, I now after a visit to my urologist have gone up from 25 mg to 50 mg on the advice of her and to take Solifenacin started in Tue 14 th feb and feel really good on it, no pain ,urgency or frequency or constipation it’s early days so will keep a check on the constipation

Do you just take Solifenacin? It is a good one for urgency but for me has the constipation side effect so stopped it. The withdrawal symptoms are not pleasant.

I take it with Mirabegron in the morning and Hiprex and vitamin C in the evening , I have other issues too high blood pressure, cholesterol , type 2 diabetes , and silent reflux all managed with meds and a bad lower back pain which medics can’t sort but I keep my chin up well most of the time 😬

I take solifenacin 10mg along with 50mg of mirabegron as had severe oab which was extremely distressing. It took months to take full effect but I am now able to work again and am beginning to feel confident about getting out and about without worrying about toilets.I would say be patient and persevere. It may take time to build up in your system and, you may feel it's two steps forward and one step back but keep going

Hi, just wondering do you suffer constipation. 5mg of Solifenacin did work for me but caused constipation so came off them. Now I am left with same problem. In fact no better off than when I took them. So regret coming off. On laxitives which cause stomach pain so too worried about going back on them. But feel in a right state now with urgency. Doctor not much help. So now with two problems instead of one. It’s just you take a lot of these meds and I wonder how you cope.

Hi Alloagirl , I do suffer with constipation a lot of the time , I just take a laxative usually Lactolose don’t like taking it but sometimes needs must I can’t do without my Solifenacin 5 gm which I can go up 5 gm if it doesn’t work so well , I try and eat healthily doesn’t always work but yes 12 tablets a day takes some getting down

Thankyou for your reply. I also take Lactulose and eat a healthy high fibre diet. Unfortunately I am also suffering stomach discomfort and pain , not bad, my urgency is still not resolved. I am not incontenant but the pressure on my urethra is constant. Waited for an appt to see gynourologist, not until April. Though after tests many I have spoken to nothing is found and they are on these tablets. I think what is making my stomach worse is the diverticulosis. Lots of ifs and buts in this game. Anyway thanks once again.

Hi McHargF1 thanks for replying I know just what your saying , I had a tvt mesh put in and the day after I was in agony what should have been 6 week recuperation turned into 4 months off work and when I look back I don’t know how I did it.

Glad your feeling much better , I have cried so many tears over the last 22 years with frustration, pain and everything that comes along with OAB I didn’t step over the threshold in fear of flooding when I had the mesh put in which thankfully I had removed the following year but the damage was done .

I did feel much relief in the first 8 hrs of taking this new med so will deffo be patient , I also take Hiprex and the consultant said to take vitamin C with it hope that is helping

Hi,Now also taking amytriptaline which is helping to take some of the remaining discomfort away. Still waiting to see a continance nurse on the NHS. Just seem to get messed about constantly. Fortunately I have improved enough with all the medication to return to work and the anxiety I have is also improving. I will add vitamin c to my regime as well and keep my fingers crossed for an appointment with the continance nurse.
