I feel for your son, hope the solifenacin helps. I've only been using it for a little time but I do think it's helping. Like you oxybutanin no good best wishes

I've only just started taking this. I have noticed a positive difference so far with frequency so that's good. I'm a bit concerned about side effects though. Do you have any side effects?

Thanks for reply. No side effects as far as I am aware but I've not been taking for long. I too have noticed less frequency but had an unexpected bad day yesterday with "leakage" and had to wear a pant liner (the first time in a week) ...I was disappointed but hope it was maybe due to the much colder weather! What side effects are you worrying about?

Sorry to hear you had bad day yesterday. Hopefully things will settle down after a few weeks. I read it can take 4-6 weeks in some cases.

I have noticed, after only a few days, that I have a feeling like vertigo or motion sickness occasionally. I had a glass of wine last night and felt nauseous and my head was spinning. I've spoken up this morning feeling light-headed and it hasn't got better they. The info leaflet doesn't say don't drink alcohol, but then I looked up the drug on NHS website and it does say that it can worsen these type of symptoms. Oh well, a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

The other symptom is forgetfulness. Mine is definitely worse than usual. Can't grasp words frequently and a worsening of forgetting what I came into a room for!

I'd be interested to know if you've noticed that now that I have mentioned it?

Thanks for your detailed ,interesting reply, I realise it can take a bit of time for the drug to get into one's system and I have been taking it for about 4 weeks and initial results promising but maybe I need a bit longer - patience is not my middle name and when I had phone app. with doc she said if solifenacin not suitable lots of more meds. on the market now to try so I'm optimistic - will continue with solifenacin meantime and give it a fair trial

I don't have dizziness much but forgetfulness bad but was putting that down to "senior moments" Re alcohol I enjoy a glass or two (or even 3 or 4 to be honest) and don't think I'm ready to forgo that. It's only at weekends or special days so not too frequent! And don't feel bad after fortunately. Do keep in touch and let me know how you get on, be interesting to compare

I read that it takes Solifenacin 4 hours before it works, so I started taking it when I got up and it is much better. I have the same problems with senior moments!!

Agree with the 4 hours for solifenacin to work. I too take the tablet early (before breakfast) and get good results I'm hoping they last makes such a difference e to one's confidence!
