I have CAD, LCX. Had a stent placed with 95% blockage ----2 months ago. Still have some chest tightness and SOB (short of breath) from time to time. Dr has ordered a a TEE Test. Wondering what experiences others had with a TEE Test (transesophagea ecocardiogram).

I've had several of these, checking for blood clots prior to ablation for AF.

OK...they're not the most pleasant of procedures but just tell yourself how vital they are. You will normally be offered a throat spray to numb the throat and a light sedation before the narrow flexible tube is passed down your throat.. It is all over quite quickly . Just try to relax and go with the flow, so to speak. You've had other heart procedures so I'm sure you'll cope well.
