ok so brief history -

Woke in night march ‘23 with chest pain, a&e said anxiety

Chest pain nurse said would do a ct with contrast just to be safe - whilst awaiting the results from that I had another trip to A&E after what I can only describe as the strangest thing

Laid in bed and some chest pain ( not massive) but then felt like my heart dropped and that I was falling through the bed (wierd I know )

A&E dismissed me until I mention the CT 5 mins later rushed in to recuss area and pumped full of drugs . This was Friday , angiogram Monday morning showed extensive CAD in all three - 1 stent in Circumflex.

Felt dreadful after and still getting pain

After more tests another angiogram where it was stopped to discuss stent vs CABG, I I finally further stents in LAD

Since then I have periodically suffered from

Pain about 4 inch below left armpit,

Left shoulder blade shoulder and top of arm pain. Further to this some abdominal pain

I have had therapy for anxiety and gastro have ruled out stomach issues other than IBS

This last couple of weeks I’ve been getting a lot more left sided pain some breathlessness but have also had sore throat and cough (know it’s going around)

Been back to a&e and ecg no changes and Troponin negative! Heart slightly enlarged a ‘fat pad’ on bottom of heart and the apical region isn’t pumping very well!

referred to

Cardiology but the appointment is in JULY!!!!

However I still wake in middle of night and feel like I’ve not slept in the morning

Pain comes and goes, not necessarily exceptional

However one thing I have noticed is my resting heart rate has dropped from around 52 to 40/41

anyone else at all been trough similar or

Going through it .

I feel in myself that something is wrong but feel

That no one believes me

Has anybody considered angina/ ischaemia non obstructive coronary arteries ANOCA/INOCA?

Sometimes after stents even coronary bypass surgery a person can have microvascular dysfunction or coronary vasospasms.

The ANOCA conditions are often overlooked and undiagnosed.

You may find this article from the BHF website interesting.

This article is about vasospastic angina, the condition I live with.

One of the classic symptoms of vasospastic angina is chest pain at rest especially during the night.

I acknowledge your frustrations about feeling you're not being believed.

I had to be persistent to get my diagnosis. I still encounter staff who have little understanding of microvascular or vasospastic angina.

My Cardiologist co designed with me, my admission plan to guide the staff how to care for me.

You know your body best.

Thanks for your reply ! This is one thing I want to ask cardiologist when I see him from seeing some of your other posts !

The pain has previously come and gone however it’s pretty much there al time at minute

When resting my shoulder area hurts yet when I get up and walk around it tends to ease however shortness of breath and cough then gets worse

I’m hoping it’s just one of the bugs going around but I feel deep down it’s something else
