I went into AF last Thursday and again this morning and I feel that it is the cold weather that is triggering it off. Is anybody else having the same experience?

Hi & yes I work in a cold environment & I was thrown back into AF last year at work. I could feel my hears arrhythmia on a cold day. Keep warm if you can. I purchased a sports type tight top to keep warm.

Hi, Thanks for responding, I'm going to make sure that I always wear a scarf when I go out.

But I have also found that the air conditioning units at the gym have been trigger points for me, so I try to keep a good distance away from them.

Hi, I haven’t experienced cold weather triggering my AF but I have vagal PAF so all my problems seem to be at night. If I’m cold in bed that’s definitely a trigger for me so now I go to bed with a warm hot water bottle. As soon as I feel my heart getting jumpy ( usually ectopics) I cuddle the bottle and it settles almost immediately. The heat seems a comfort and the cold definitely a trigger…..

I have SVT and find extremes of weather - hot or cold are triggers.
