Finally my cardiology appointment has come through. September 20th. Only taken them 10 months. It worries me because when I got the severe chest pains and was rushed to a&e in November. They weren't sure if I'd had a mild heart attack. Went back a week later with a dull ache in my chest still, gp said sounds like a heart attack and Stepping Hill hospital said I MIGHT have angina. Was given the spray and sent home. No info about angina. Just spray twice under tongue and that was it. Not even how long to leave it under my tongue for. Xxx

I hope your appointment goes well next week.
Perhaps write down a list of your questions to take with you to the appointment?
oh dear not too good! NHS under pressure!
Meanwhile, you are in control of everything else about you : diet, exercise, and so on. Tell yourself that YOU are in charge and patiently wait,
You could phone the cardiac nurses - details on the BHF website.
I feel for you. It took ten months for me to get a face to face at Macclesfield last year although I did get a telephone appointment in the middle of that.
I’m waiting for a follow up from being in hospital in June - they said that would be 6 weeks and it’s currently been 11 weeks
As others say, make the most of your appointment - take a list of questions and maybe someone else with you too so you don’t miss anything. Good luck.
Its called GTN spray. Spray it twice under tongue then close your mouth makes me feel a bit crap for a few minutes but it takes chest pain away
Hi,Did you jage blood tests to determine tropinin levels? That is the only way they cam be sure you've had a heart attack.
