I don't know about kiwi fruit. But if you have problems with your potassium levels mango is one of the things you can't have . I have had to have low potassium diet for 15 years . I have to limit my milk to half a pint a day and limit my yogurt but don't have that everyday. Things I can't have are spinach ,nuts ,dried fruits ,baked, roast or chips, crisps , pineapple, grapefruit but can't have this with one of my tablets as well, chocolate ,tomatoes and mushrooms but haven't been able to give them up so only have a few of tomatoes or mushrooms every 6-8 weeks . Limit my chocolate to every 6-8 weeks but only small amount . There is a host of others things but can't think of every as I just don't buy them . But a big no no is salt substitute as it's very high in potassium.
I love my porridge made with coconut milk but my GP has told me to stop having it as it's to high in sugar. Tried Almond milk and Oat milks which I liked but will just use my skimmed milk allowance to make my porridge but sweeten it with little honey. Soya milk yuk.
when I was given warfarin the nurse specialist from the anticoagulant clinic gave me dietary advice - as someone on a largely vegetable based diet, high in pulses I was concerned that many of my regular foods were on the "caution" list - the nurse said that the important thing was to avoid significantly increasing or decreasing my consumption of these, but not to cut them out suddenly
if you attend an anticoagulant clinic you could check with the staff there
Grapefruit juice and grapefruit do NOT need to be avoided. I have half a grapefruit every morning and sometimes have Grapefruit juice as well. Can't remember when I started having Grapefruit but certainly since 2009. I have been on Warfarin for 36 years and during my Grapefruit eating can go up to 10 weeks between INR tests as my readings remain within parameters. The only problem I have had was when I took a health drink with Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Everything in moderation is a good guide.
