husband has had two heart attacks

Looks like he will have to have hormone therapy for Prostate cancer. Reading about link between the two raises real concern. Anyone who has both conditions who can advise.

Hi Pitt12345

My husband has heart failure & has had hormone therapy & radiotherapy. Hormone therapy can increase the risk of heart disease but if your husband already has a heart condition this would have been addressed at a MDT & the best form of treatment would have been agreed on. In my husband's case they wouldn't operate because of his heart condition so he was given firmagon (HT) as this one has less cardiac risks.

You're welcome, if there's anything else you'd like to ask about, please let me know.

If you do Facebook at all, theres a prostate cancer support group I'd highly recommend (link below) I believe they're affiliated with prostate cancer UK. And you can also phone prostate cancer UK who are incredibly helpful and will be able to answer any questions you have.
