Having recently been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation I was put on Apixaban. Since then I'm so fatigued and just keep falling asleep. Is this normal?

It is fairly unlikely. Are you on any other medication?

Give your GP a call in the morning or do a eConsult this afternoon.

No I'm not on any other medication, so I'll give my GP a ring tomorrow. Thanks for your reply.

Hi I went into AF last July and I felt so tired, very sicky went off my food,it was horrible - I'm lucky that the medication did kick in and then was diagnosed with large hole in my heart,am lucky to have been back in sinus rhythm since November, good luck

No it's not normal and I've never heard of it before on the forum, despite being on here for about 9 years.

All the best.

I must agree with others, I’ve been on Apixaban for years, it doesn’t make me tired. It could be your AF, I would see doc asap, good luck

It won't be the apixaban it will be the AF. It can be exhausting ☹️
