Hello there. Little advice please. I have LVSD which had improved from severe to moderate, my EF was 25 and now 41, I am a symptomatic. My Cardiac Consultant is pleased and is not changing or reviewing me for another 12months. I need to renew my Driving Licence soon do I need to inform the DVLA and has anyone had their licence revoked with this condition. Many ๐Ÿ˜Š

I know nothing about LVSD, but another consideration may be about whether you should tell your insurance company. Apparently it's recommended that one does after a TAVI (heart-valve replacement). I rang up my insurer, who "made a note". I don't think that it was this that caused the hike in my annual premium.

Have taken a look it has answered my question. I am asymptomatic and do three exercise classes per week with no problems. Thank you so much ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yes, I told them about my condition and the difficulties I have and they said I need to stop driving. To be honest I didn't feel confident in myself so I was happy to send it back

i believe the same applies for bypass. Although you probably wonโ€™t feel like driving.

If you have a pace maker or under some circumstances an ICD it is reportable , which i note you already read

Hi I had that, severe heart failure and cardiomyopathy, I was fine to drive, DVLA have a list of conditions you have to inform them about it might be worth checking it in case it's changed. It was only when I got an icd fitted I notified them.
