call a doctor very very soon, simple as. Hope they can help. That’s not normal. 👍

Please see your doctor. It could be nothing, but may be a problem. I had an unexpected fall - I was walking along and the next thing I remember is lying in the middle of the road, not knowing how I got there. My boss insisted I went to the Dr. I ended up having a stent, but I am forever grateful for the early intervention as there is no damage to my heart. I have to take meds for life to ensure artery remains open and blood flow is good; but I am so lucky that the blocked artery was found before the possibility of a heart attack.

Your falls could be for any number of reasons, but always best to get checked out.

Good luck

Same happened for my husband. Initially diagnosed as micturition syncope as it was happening at night after he had peed but, one evening it happened when he was downstairs and nowhere near the loo. Dropped like a stone and hit the side of his face. I dialled 999 and he was in hospital for some time while they sorted out what it was and, in his case, fitted a pacemaker. Because blackouts mean you can do yourself a lot of damage in the fall it is crucial to get it sorted. Each time he lost consciousness for a very short time and I suspect that his blood pressure after the event was not too dreadful but of course it impossible to know what happened to your blood pressure as you dropped, unless you have a smart watch? But the most important thing is you get yourself checked out asap and if you can't get to see the GP I would think about A&E.

Have you had any recent changes in medication? I had massive side effects when I was prescribed Co-trimoxazole for my ongoing foot issues. One day I found myself on the floor when using my Prosthetic and Zimmer with no idea why. Fortunately the only injuries were heavy bruising to the left thigh, hip and shoulder. My Libre sensor even survived the impact.

Have you made an appointment with the GP yet some 8 hours after posting given what others have recommended? If not the next best option is 111, but you may only get referred back to your GP, but if you are lucky they might make an appointment for you at your surgery.

I strongly suggest you go to A&E. I fell over just once, and was taken to A&E where they fitted me with a pacemaker as an emergency. I didn't realise until afterwards that my life had been in danger.

Not what you're looking for?
