It seems that New Cross Hospital will take good care of me by all your comments. All I have to worry about now is my return home. I have read that someone needs to be with you when you return home. What happens when you live on your own. Do they send you to a convalescence home for a week or two?

you can not be left to fend for yourself.

In this area they putyou in a care home or convalescent home. It’s is free for up to six weeks. A friend of a friend has just be placed locally in to a super care home. Six weeks would cost thousands. So he is getting superb care for free.

The great thing about heart ops is that you recover steadily. I felt better every two days. That was a lovely feeling. And it went on until one golden day when I was full of beans and properly recovered.

Please don’t worry about your after care. Summer has arrived and so your recovery will be very pleasant.

Best wishes

C.
