Hello,

I am sorry that you are experiencing so much pain due to your microvascular angina.

I live with vasospastic angina, I have transient constrictions in my coronary arteries and my small blood vessels. This type of angina notoriously causes severe and prolonged episodes of chest pain.

I experience most of my chestpain at rest, especially during the night.

It sounds as though you may need a review of your medication. Perhaps make an appointment to see your GP or ask to see a Cardiologist.

Have you been prescribed a GTN spray?

If two sprays of GTN don't relieve your chest pain 5 minutes apart then I suggest you ring 111 for further advice.

I gather from your profile that you care for your husband too. Have you got any support in your caring role?

Microvascular and vasospastic angina episodes can be triggered by stress and tiredness.

Do you feel that caring for your husband maybe impacting on you wellbeing too?

I hope you are able to access further support to help both of you.

Thank you Milkfairy. Yes l do.get stressed looking after my.92 year old husband with COPD. his Sats are low at the.moment and difficult to get a doctors appointment when you need it to discuss it. Also l had a hip replacement 6 months ago and 3 weeks ago I slipped and fell heavily on that hip. I had an X-ray and.nothing amiss but now it aches. So, that worries me. Yes, there is a bit of stress going on.

I am sorry to hear that you are going through this and hope that Milkfairy 's post is helppful for you - Milkfairy has years of experience with this and can be relied of for good information - do a search for their other posts in this group to find groups and organisiations with more info too - our doctors are not always very good at understanding how our health issues affect us so the other organisations hel to fill the gaps a bit🙂
