Is it my Heart or my Medication

I was admitted to hospital in 2022 with fast AF, and it was discovered at that time I had Severe Heart Failure. All of which I suspect brought on by a VERY overactive thyroid. My conditions are controlled by medication, and my heart failure status is now Mild. Ive had a cardio versionin 2020 which was succesfull but AF came back as I say in 2022 during my overactive thyroid period. I have several drugs for my heart Bisopropol 3.75. twice a day, and feel this is the main culprit for my feeling fatigued with aching legs and a heavyness /tightness in the diaphram area when acive, not problems when resting. I also take 62.5 Digoxin,10mg Dapaglifloxin 2mg Candstartan, 5mg Apixaban, 20 mg Atorvastatin. my resting HB is between 48 and 51, and my blood pressure alway registers low, 89 to 110 over 58 to 69. My ability to walk even short distances is restricted, and has become worse over the time since I was hospitalised, despite doing daily exercises and attending a seated Yoga class. I have told my cardiologist and the heart failure nurse about this this more times that I care to remember, but dont get any answers. does anyone else have this experience and if so what was done to make it improve.

I haven't got the same issues, but my subclinically overactive thyroid seems to have led to AF. Since it flared to full blown overactive I have been in persistent AF.With Bisoprolol I don't have fast AF, my HR doesn't usually go above about 85, and I have never been told I have heart failure.

I was originally on 2.5 mg Bisoprolol but after 2 years that was reduced to 1.25 mg.

Although my thyroid is controlled by meds the muscle weakness still continues, mainly affecting my legs.

Your BP seems rather low to me, although I am not medically qualified, and when mine was like that I felt dreadful. I would make an appointment to speak to your GP, give them at least a week's worth of BP readings, and ask if you still need that much Bisoprolol. Everyone is different, so what works for one person does not work for another, that's why doctors are there.

Hope you feel better soon.
