due to go away on the summer, but have been swimming recently, felt a bit conscious the first time, but after that I feel it is what it is, I can’t change it so it’s there for all to see ! Nowt to be embarrassed about, should be proud of what it represents and what we have been through !

Hello :-)

Hope you are going somewhere nice this Summer :-)

Glad you have been swimming that is good for you :-)

I often wonder how much people do take any notice or how much are we aware of it so we think if someone looks at us they are looking at the scar

Possibly 50/50

Mine has faded a lot now but I am proud of it as we have been saying it shows we are survivors as well as what these wonderful surgeons can do to :-) x

Completely agree , it's the sign of a successful warrior. It's usually us that feel more self conscious about it most of the time people don't even look or notice, when you realise that it helps a lot to get on with things they way you want to.

Enjoy the swimming and your holiday , Bee
