hi that does not sound alarming, seems normal as your heart rate would increase on exertion.

Just checked my Apple Watch at 10:49am today it was 100 then at 10.56am it was 80.

NHS website says normal resting heart rate can be between 60 and 100 so 100 on exertion would seem ok.

Are you getting any other symptoms?

sounds pretty good to me, especially as you have breathing issues. But of course we don’t know much about you - age, medical history, family history, height and weight …. And we are not medics …. But walking with 100 bpm is good!

it is normal for your heart rate to increase when you are active - your heart pumps the fuel and oxygen your body needs, when you are active your body needs faster supplies of fuel and oxygen to replace what it is using, so the delivery needs to speed up, so your heart beats faster and your breathe faster/harde to supply the oxygen

the BHF site has simple helpful info on heart rates, maybe you could read that to find out more

don’t know your background but mine is all over the place after valve surgery. Apparently common with mitral valve issues so I imagine could be with other heart problems. Never below 87 goes up to about 145 with exercise but high intensity exercise doesn’t necessarily mean highest level for me. Cardiac team aware and unphased.

Are you saying that HR is say 80 resting/ sitting but goes up to the likes of 120 doing small household tasks like standing cooking at stove? I have had this problem for nearly 4 years as a result of Long Covid but with high BP too; standing at stove making a sauce has my BP rising into the 130s and getting breathless has been a notorious problem ( and I have noticed another recall exactly the same task setting off symptoms). I learnt to sit down to brush my teeth and hair; and over the last year swim 45 mins 5 times a week. Had 3 ecgs, 1, echocardiogram, 2 chest X-rays, breathing tests (and exercises) done, but nothing found, until I insisted on getting a referral out of my NHS Trust to a tilt table specialist where I am still being diagnosed / treated for autonomic system postural hypotension syndrome/ PoTS. Have a look at the charity websites of the PoTS.Uk, and US’s Standing Up to PoTs for much more info …..see if anything correlates to your symptoms, do you for eg also get dizzy?
