Hello
I have been looking at your replies and it was so nice to see all the support on your post you got and I am glad it helped sometimes others sharing can help more than talking to the Doctors as we know how it feels and have been there
I see you are still feeling a little let down with your care mentioning the Doctors and Hospital I hope you will be able to let go as the only person that is going to hurt is you and drag you down which I don't want for you
Are there any other surgeries you could swap to even though now a days they are all more or less the same
And I am not sure how far away the Hospitals are from where you are but if you need a Hospital again you can ask to be seen at a different one even though that might mean travelling further
Just one more thing if you really feel let down and the care has not been good you could contact Pals at the Hospital you were at and write into the Manager of the surgery you attend sometimes even if we do not get the answers we want it can help us let go knowing we have spoken out and let them know
Try though now focusing on your recovery and getting better and looking forward and not back because you have so much to look forward to x
Interestingly the Care Quality Commission (CQC) agree with you in that both your surgery and the hospital have a 'Requires Improvement' rating which is probably the polite way of describing what they are like, although unfortunately that is of no consolation to you,
The RSCH is my local hospital too. A brand-new building, with some wonderful staff, but some who leave a lot to be desired, unfortunately. It often seems to be pot luck which staff members you see. We have recently come across some amazing doctors, nurses and consultants, but continue to be let down by others. Some departments are far better run than others, too. Wherever people are involved, you come across both good and bad in all walks of life, unfortunately.
Hi Craig, this sound like madness. Are you able to call in Boots chemist. Have a word with the pharmacist. let him know how you feel.
Hi I am sorry to hear about your ongoing problems with your GP and the hospital. When I was discharged after my transplant my surgery were awful instead of giving me support they refused to prescribe my imunosuppresant meds which I need to live, totally unbelievable, I was so stressed but I immediately phoned and registered with another GP it was all done over the phone and they are so much better in every way compared to the old one. I am so glad that I done it, you could maybe look into something like that to get better care, take care Char
Hi Craig53, I feel your pain. I had a Heart Attack last July, Ive had Chronic Pericarditis for years, I have Hyper inflated Lungs and when I asked the Doctor to get an MRI for the Heart Attack and Lung Function test he told Me I didn't need one. I made a polite Complaint and they struck me off. I was bringing up Blood too at the time. It seems anyone with a serious condition needs to be eliminated rather than being helped. It's a vile situation and you are not a lone. Good luck and stay as calm as you can. They want you to get mad and aggressive. It plays into their hands. Write to your MP and explain your situation. I didn't see the first part of your story. Good Luck...But yeh this is Maddness
Hi Craig53, sorry you are going through a difficult time. A favourite saying of mine...accept the things you cannot change and change the things you cannot accept. Before bedtime try writing down anything that's on your mind and leave till the morning. I find that helps me get a better sleep. Wishing you well, take care. 🫂
