Whirling/whistling noise of heart

I have recently been told that my 20month old son has an extra noise almost like a whistling/whirling noise on his heart but have been advised to wait 2 weeks for him to be examined again as they said the sound may disappear and I was just wondering if anybody has experienced this before! I’m a massive worrier and overthink almost every situation, Thankyou in advance for any feedback

Hi Elliewake99 just to give you reassurance. My son when he was born, they found extra noise. After all tests completed including having to go to a couple of outpatient appointments it was determined my son has a musical Heart. Meaning under normal circumstances he's has a completely normal sound and rhythm. But when he's unwell the extra noise and rhythm appear. They specialist reassured me this was perfectly normal and said its just a different variation. It's just a musical rhythm I love this term. But my sons 22 now. And only ones when he was 8 did he need to see a specialist again. When he developed Kawasaki disease (basically he got gastroenteritis and in trying to repair itself the body attack itself) he was on Aspirin for 6 weeks as Kawasaki thickens the blood. So hopefully your son just has a musical heart and nothing serious
