Propranolol weird headache

Good evening

I am currently on 40mg of propranolol 3 times a day and I'm having weird headaches. Not like my usual headache more like a weird sensation, like a pressure that I can also feel in my ear and behind my nose. I was on Propranolol 80mg slow release and didn't have this then, it's only started since upping the dose to the 40mg 3 times per day. I am on them for ectopic beats (PVCs). They help a bit but don't eliminate them completely. Cardiologist has given me Diltiazem to try if I want, but I'm too scared to try them.

Has anyone else experienced this with Propranolol or beta blockers?

Thank you so much x

Hello :-)

I have found trying other medications that I got really weird bad headaches very hard to deal with

I can understand your fear of trying the other med that has been suggested but maybe as you only have to try it you could tell yourself if it did not suite you then you could stop that one but worth possibly giving it a go it could make you feel better :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x
