Just thought I would sound a warning. We are all sick to the back teeth of the endless email, text and telephone scams! anyway today I got one purporting to be Lloyds Pharmacy. The increased to be to get you to register and get your personal information. When I checked their email address it was total gibberish. Be warned!

Hi just to add support your local pharmacy. It's more reliable and your local pharmacy will deliver your medicines to your door if you need that service. My pharmacy is so good even if for some reason a prescription is delayed from the gp they will still deliver ontime as they are part of my regular medication.

Yes, I get excellent advice and support from my local pharmacist. Wouldn't swap.

I wouldn’t swap my pharmacist as I trust him - amongst other things he does shifts at the local hospital to advise medical staff on bank holidays and such. But NOT all pharmacists deliver - our doesn’t as he is so busy.

There’s a queue to say “I’ve got a prescription” then they look it up to see if they can do it then you wait an hour or come back the next day - then wait for 20 minutes in the queue again.

That sounds awful like they are not independent more like franchise. I refuse to use large pharmacies I feel they lose their personal touch. But everyone has there choice where I live all the pharmacies deliver. Except Boots.

A few weeks back I got a text scam claiming to offer me a job without an interview and I told them to get stuffed!

I would say don’t contact them. They send millions of emails and texts and rely on people responding so that they know it’s a valid number or valid address.

Don't delete scam texts, calls and emails, report them so that OFCOM knows the full extent of the problem and can try to do something

NEVER click on a link in an unsolicited email, text or other

first check the sender's address, if it looks dodgy go no further

if you want to check it out do an online search, typing the name in yourself

make use of the option to report an email as a scam or phishing

Our town used to have 4 Lloyds pharmacies, they have now pulled out altogether and a local family owned independent Chemist has taken over 2 of them to add to its original Pharmacy. To be perfectly honest Lloyds were rubbish, they never had the full prescription, usually the waiting time was far too long or it was out of stock. If you have an independent Pharmacy in your area, give them your business rather than the major multiples.

There was an independent pharmacy near the offices where I worked years ago which I would go to regularly and they were nice there!

Here near where I live there's an independent pharmacy in the precinct near the doctors who seem very nice and helpful.
