Catwifie

It means the vessel splits into 2 branches like a fork in the road

Yup, Catwifie is correct :)

The reason they note it is because if you have an occlusion (blockage) near the bifurcation it can make it slightly trickier to treat. Ask them about it and ask them to explain why they noted it xx

Thank you both, I will ask.

I’m guessing it’s just a normal anatomy variant for me? My CTCA showed no blockages, just a short segment of the LCX was not seen due to coronary motion artefact. All my other coronaries were normal and parent. X

Ah yes, it sounds like just a note on your records. Reading things like that can throw you off a bit though! I only know about bifurcation becasue of my new job, there is no way I would of known about it a year ago!
