Hi yes,I was on 2.5mg once a day,but my pulse was going down to 60 and below, felt dizzy and sick! Gp has split dose into 2,but think may have to reduce to 1 25 daily as although much better have dizzy spells about 4 hours after taking it

Can you get your blood pressure checked? Your GP surgery should help.

According to my NHS Scotland factsheet, between 100/40 and134/84 is ok. But if you keep feeling dizzy, contact your GP before you have a fall or something. It might be that you need a change of meds.

I take Bisp reluctantly Yes I do get dizzy, it was scary at first as you always think it is your heart. I had mine checked which was fine. Maybe speak with your GP they may lower the dose or give an alternative.

Hope this helps x

Hello :-)

This is one of the side effects you can get from this medication

Sometimes it settles down and you can cope with it at first I got it really bad now I just get it now and again and so I can cope with it

If you are finding it is to much for you speak with your Doctor there will be something if it be the dose or changing the med they can do

Let us know how you get on :-) x

I got very dizzy on it as it slowed my heart too much. The hospital halved it and I was ok after a few days. Could be your dose is too high

Hi Blueberry lover, I was wondering what dose you are on and if you have recently been prescribed it. I too have had my problems with this powerful drug and on holiday it put me in A&E when I passed out on the kitchen floor. The hospital were brilliant and said it was syncope caused through bradycardia and orthostatic hypertension, they halved the dose of 5mg immediately which I have had no problem with.I would say in total it has taken 10 weeks to really adjust to it. I take it for AFib and find it very beneficial but for me it did take time to find an acceptable dose that I personally could tolerate safely. I never felt dizzy but lightheaded and breathless, as time goes by my metabolism hopefully is adapting to it. It would seem it all depends on the individual as to the initial dosage level they can tolerate. This is just my experience for others it could well be different, one size does not fit all when it comes to medication.

Regards Kathleen
