Can I use a heated throw with a pacemaker? I do use an electric blanket in bed with no problem.

I looked at getting one for my mother, and the product information said not to be used with a pacemaker, but you could ask the department that fitted it. There are different types and the information may vary.

I think heated throws work the same way an electric blanket does, so you should be OK. I've had my pacemaker for 4 years now, and have been exposed to all sorts of magnetic fields at home and at work without any adverse effects. I am retired, but used to work with electron microscopes that have large electro-magnets as lenses. I had no problem with these at all.

My pacemaker is able to withstand an MRI scan, and has a safety feature which paces me at 85 bpm until the magnetic field is removed, but this has never kicked in.

If you are concerned, then the manufacturer of your pacemaker or your local cardiology team will be able to advise you.
