HF journey!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since i last posted here, I've been trying so hard to get to where i am now.

I know a lot of you is worried about the conditions that we have, but don't loose faith! We can get better, we can and we will!

So as a young adult, i was diagnosed at with fir HF (15% EF) and cardiomyopathy. It was heart breaking as i thought i was physically fit and such a young age, i also thought i was a gonner! Especially with google 😆

Moving forward, my EF gradually increased to 30% to 43% and now to 51%!

The size of my heart is normal now too!

I'm really lucky to have the NHS and the HF teams support.

Just do everything the doctors and nurses tell you and you'll be fine! Please do not be disheartened with what the world says about us, we are one and together we can recover!

This group has been very inspirational and hopefully, my story would inspire you guys too!

If you ever need anyone to speak to, reach out to me. I'll gladly listen.

Regards,

Dom

Hi DomCruz29

So lovely to see such a positive post! I’m glad your recovery has been going well, and you were able to access all the care you need to be able to get to the point you are today.

I hope your post gives others with HF some reassurance and hope.

I shall look forward to your future posts.

Good luck and all the best.

I could've went deeper into the story but it would be too long. Haha! Thank you so much, my ef actually went down at one point, but went back up after the next scan! I hope this inspires people who think they're alone in this, they aren't! We should muster up all the courage and focus on getting better!
