MDT Imaging Meeting

Has anyone ever had their cardiac MRI scan discussed in an MDT meeting? I already have heart failure and my MRI has confirmed this but it also says ‘mid wall enhancement - await discussion in MDT meeting.

Has anyone had any experience with either ‘mid wall enhancement’ or ‘discussions in an MDT meeting’? Obviously I am going to ask my doctor, but just wondering what other peoples experience has been? X

Hi gibb01

I have had my diagnosis of angina discussed at an MDT meeting before. It’s where the cardiologists at the hospital you’re being treated at will all get together to discuss your individual results and findings to either confirm, or disconfirm a diagnosis, or find another clinical pathway in order to carry out more testing before coming to a conclusion/diagnoses if they deem fit. These meetings happen weekly or monthly.

I can’t comment on the mid wall enhancement which I presume is what your scan showed as I have no knowledge of this.

Good luck.

Thank you, I thought that was probably the case. X
