Hi everyone,Had my cardiversion on Wednesday. In and out in three hours. It was like stepping into a very efficient production line. Everyone was polite and I tried to be brave by not saying anything. As soon as I woke up I was given a cup of tea and a biscuit n then sent on my way even though I was struggling to walk in a straight line .I had to ask if it had worked because they forgot to tell me !YES, YES ❤️
As sedation wore off, I started getting chest pain and my shoulder really hurt. By Friday I was back in for obs. My heart rate is really low and they said my coronary artery needs to be checked. Luckily, I have an angiogram in two weeks which is the fast track waiting time anyway so back at home. HR is between 49-55 and getting headaches back of head and neck . Just a waiting game now. They were fab at ACA on Friday but no follow up once you are home. Are the GPs suppose to check ?

I’m not sure what the protocol is after a cardioversion in terms of aftercare and follow up however, I thought you might benefit from having a chat to one of the BHFs cardiac nurses. Please find the below. They should be able to answer any questions you have regarding the cardioversion and your symptoms.

It may be worth contacting your GP anyway as it seems like you are experiencing new symptoms.
