Not so much a story, just a little advise. When your Surgeon tells you to do nothing for 6 weeks, he means "nothing"! Appart from walking. I haven't had any major issues but have experienced a lot of unnecessary discomfort, I suspect from my stupidity to think "oh I can do that" NO! you can't!! My Sternotomy and scar are all healing well, but through my own stupidity I have pulled a muscle under my rib cage. So don't be like Wayne, Wayne is a silly boy. Take care all, have a good weekend 😊 😘 ☺️

Excellent advice and certainly needs following, { this is from someone that did the same as you and just extended the healing process }

Keep taking care

💯 % agree some days it was 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Even when I started driving after being told I could, I had problems.

Still having niggles 13 weeks on post OHS. Shopping is still uncomfortable, pushing the trolley, reaching up and lifting or picking things up at arms length, and carrying anything of any weight. Must do as we are told boring as it is. Hope you improve and become free of pain soon.

Oh dear dear!! Yes, they really mean what they say - sorry you had to find out the hard way! Hope all well now that you are back to doing what you were told!!

I hurt myself putting crockery away in the cupboard. Reached too far with some plates and thought, oohhg that hurts. I was much more careful after that. Oh, apart from raking leaves. It's difficult to sit around when you are so used to being active and you also crave to go outside.
