I was prescribed bisoprolol about 6 weeks ago for palpitations, just 1.25 in the morning. Although to start with I felt an improvement I have still had 2 episodes of long lasting palpitations.My concern now is that I have started getting pains in both legs, particularly at night when inactive. I'm wondering if this is due to reduced blood circulation caused by bisoprolol.
Like others I dread the battle to see the GP so I'm going to attempt to speak to the pharmacist first.
Has anyone else experienced this? The pain feels more vascular than muscular, ? like varicose vein pain which I was not getting before taking bisoprolol.

A warm welcome to you, I hope that you find the forum as supportive and informative as many have done and still do.
You may well be having a side effect from Bisoprolol or any of your other medication, but if you are new to it { like all medication } if its tolerate able { new word } then see if it goes off, if not then mention it to your Dr as there are other drugs that do the same job.
Bisoprolol has a poor press but it has been proven to be an amazing drug and has become one of the four pillars in the fight to keep our hearts going.
Flexing the feet. while watching television etc helps me a lot, so does magnesium in my bath water { known for restless legs }
I have a similar problem since starting Bisoprolol. Awful aches in both legs and knee joints. What was the outcome for you? Did the pain go away or did you stop taking bisoprolol? If so did the pain go away?
I hope you do not mind me asking. Anyway I hope you are well.
