myocarditis with ejection fraction at 35%

Hi there, I’ve been diagnosed as having myocarditis, two months ago my ejection fraction was 60%, now it is 35%. Two months ago they give me medication for the inflammation but doesn’t seem to be working, also I have a regular heartbeat, they tell me this is to do with the condition.

I can’t do anything physical brushing my teeth with my left hand is too much, lots of chest pains, every now and again I start to feel really sick as my heart rhythm goes completely at a rhythm.

my concern is that it doesn’t seem to be getting better if anything worse.

Hi Sarsy,

Myocarditis is a strange condition, it seems to affect everyone differently. If you type myocarditis into the search bar you'll see there's a few of us here with the condition at various stages of recovery. If you click on my profile you can see my own story as well.

Rest, rest and rest some more is the only consistent advice there seems to be out there. EF % can improve with medication and time.
