So i am totally new to this. I have a blood clot on my lung and i have also been diagnosed with AF. The nurses and doctors give you so much information straight away i am still trying to deal with it.

Hello :-)

This all must seem very overwhelming at the moment and I agree to much information given all at once especially of this kind is hard to absorb

Did you have anyone with you at the appointment , I always find it good if I have someone with me as they can fill im the missing blanks I missed after

Sometimes I have even asked the Consultants or Nurses to write the key points down for me so I have something to refer to

I do not know exactly what you have been told bit both conditions normally can be treated which is the good news

O presume they will have you on medications especially a blood thinner

Is there a chance the Nurses gave you their number so you can contact them

I would start writing down now a list of questions you are unsure of and of you can contact them by phone ask them to clarify them for you

Try and stay positive knowing they now know what is wrong and the right treatments and care will be put into place

Let us know how you get on :-) x
