i believe it’s done using ultrasound
I've had ultrasound screening scan, called for it by NHS, a bit like having a pregnancy scan I believe. Quick, simple instant results.
Ultrasound
I had an AAA scan at Ultrasound Direct in London (UK£70) yesterday to make sure I was OK to be given ECP (still making up my mind but think I'll go for it as though expensive doesn't seem much else around for MVA). Ultrasound Direct have lots of clinics in the UK and you self-refer. As Chinkoflight says, they also do pregnancy scans, which I think is their bread and button. Same technology as echo cardiogram - the operator spreads some gel on your abdomen/chest and then presses her knob-like wand to it and moves it around. Take c15 mins
... bread and butter !!
