I previously have a diagnosis of Lupus and when now heart failure.
My application for PIP enhancement was rejected. Is it ever worth appealing their decision?

good morning Jamaica21
YES
Pip seems to be rejected most times, but success can be had if you make another appeal.
Ideally get your nurse or the citizens advice bureau to help. They know the twists on how to apply.

Yes it is give it another try.
Yes! It is worth while. As others have already mentioned many people win on appeal.
I have a PIP and I used this organisation's guidance to help me successfully apply for my PIP.
Yes definitely. I lost my case twice and it went to a tribunal. With the help of a british legion PIP expert i managed to win the case. It is a gruelling process and it relaly needs to be reviewed. I knew someone during lockdown who got the full award, everything. Because its done mostly over phone and forms he managed to lie the whole process. 'cant even wipe his own bum or put socks on'. That sort of thing. Had his mam take over the phone as he faked a panic attack. The usual... Never been diagnosed with a mental problem....no medical evidence. Just his word of mouth...the next thing he has a lump sum in his bank for about 6 grand, hes driving straight up the casino to gamble it all away! Hes out running. Doing MMA classes. Looks after his many kids as a single dad on his own.... But yet cant put his socks on or wipe his own bum....
Then theres peooe with genuine medical problems with full medical reports and because some of these people are truly honest and dont understand the process too much then you dont win.. You really have to report everything as what you are on most of your days! More than 50% of the time. Ignore the good days where you have your bursts of energy. Where you could maybe walk that little bit further. Ignore those days.... Its the bad days. The days where your heart is hurting. Your out of breath etc. Thats where i went wrong.
Good luck.
Hi Jamaica21
I can only relate too well to your post and really feel so terrible for you, you have legitimate health issues and can't be easy day to day living so you should definitely appeal! I have been rejected twice by that and I can't do it again just to be rejected again. Did you send a supporting letter from a specialist or care plans or list of medications???
Hope your appeal if you decide to go through with it is successful 😌🥰
I applied and had video call 2 weeks after quadruple bypass and scored 0 out of 12 they said I should off been able to chop veg and make my own meal as well as walking outside ,I told them needed assistance but the lady weren't having it I told gher I needed assistance showering she didn't believe me ,don't know what kind off health professionals these people are but they really have no grace or feeling for what I had been through after op pneumonia, blood transfusion quad bypass and terrible anxiety but she copped a deafen and scored me zero on every question totally outrageous I was only asking for a couple of months of help but got nothing
Just appeal but get someone to help you with it who knows how to fill these forms in I assume they sent you a copy of report. Flag up every thing you disagree with in every question and give clear reason s why you can't do these things and include length of time it takes compared with when you were well, whether you are safe doing them and the the amount of pain and the exhaustion you are in when you do them . All these factors have to be taken into consideration If you have medical notes on your anxiety make sure you state clearly how it affects you in day to day things as well as your physical symptoms I am assuming you have just been turned down so ask for a mandatory reconsideration of your case this is done quickly, if you have to go to a tribunal it takes months. I have done many of these for people and you need to know how to do it properly
