pip update

well had my pip call today and it went great. girl was a nurse i didn’t realise they were nurses. she was so lovely. that’s all she kept saying to me. my lovely. beautiful accent. don’t know where that accent comes from but it was lovely. before she hung up she said there were quite a few things that would go in my favour. so fingers crossed. can’t believe the state i got myself into worrying hope your all well ❤️shiona

I used to know someone who was forever saying my lovely, she was from Kilkenny in Ireland.

i know. we never learn. oh it was a lovely accent. i thought it was an area of england but could very well be ireland. i love accents

Great news it went well, fingers crossed and you will get a good result. 🤞 As SpiritoftheFloyd said we get ourselves all worked up and it’s not as bad as we imagine.

Its such a stressful process,. My daughter has both ESA and PIP and honestly you need a Phd in form filling to keep on top of it.

I'm glad you had a good experience and did not have to attend one of those dreadful assessment centres...fingers crossed for a good result.

Hi that sounds really positive, I will cross my fingers it goes well, I didn't think the girl that came to my house was a nurse but she was very good and I was awarded the highest rate, which has made such a difference, especially when I couldn't drive and had to pay taxis, let me know how it goes, char

Hope all go's well for you. This made me think, I sent an appeal form off as I was only awarded low rate mobility & not daily living that was over 3 months ago & heard nothing back yet. Should I contact them about it or assume covid is delaying things?

I'm afraid I'm extremely cynical regarding PIP assessments. I had a face to face when changing from disability allowance to Pip. The lady was very nice and kept saying "OH I can see you can't do that etc. Yes i did get the rates I was entitled to but only literally by one point. Her attitude was to try to lull me into a false sense of security and attempt to do things I really couldn't do without extreme pain. I don't trust 'em! I hope you get a suitable award but ifnot, do not hesitate to appeal.

well that was the scenario i was expecting but was just relieved it wasn’t stressful. whether i was being gullible or not time will tell. i’m always gullible🤞

I tried to get pip after my heart attack four yrs ago but was refused any help even though I had to give up work completely due to anxiety and stress after heart attack they made it sound to me I had to have help with everything ie washing dressing walking up the road getting meals etc but I can do all them things, so was refused I’m pleased to hear some people manage to get it
