Hi I've been having vision changes for sometime now upon standing it's as if I've crossed my eyes
I've also had tingling in my arms lightheaded on standing had to sit as off balance I'm on 3.75mg bisoprolol has I've had palpatations in the past and pvc
I've recently been back to the doctors and he put me on candesartan 2mg as my blood pressure has been high for a while and again when doctor checked it was 156/103
Can blood pressure cause these symptoms on standing ?

I am a sufferer of postural hypotension: if I forget and get up fast I can sometimes feel faint for a minute or two but I don't get your symptoms.I would strongly suggest a chat with your GP very soon.
Good luck.
Dear worried cats
Just to put another theory into the mix, has it crossed your mind that it maybe the medication that you are on?
Classic symptoms of Bisoprolol and candesartan, I am not medically trained but do suffer similier symptoms on Bisoprolol and found by just taking care { rising slowly } that II can control those horrible feelings.
Hope this helps in anyway, remember there are equivalent drugs that do the same job that may not give you these side effects.
I was on 3.75mg of Bisoprolol and suffered similar effects when standing up. I am now on 1.25mg, but still occasionally get the same problem after sitting for an extended period. I had to consult with my GP and the practice pharmacist to get the balance between the Bisoprolol and my BP medication (Losartan) right for me.
Afternoon everyone thanks for the replies it could well be the bisoprolol as it did seem to get worse when I had dose increased to 3.75mg from 2.5mg Unfortunately doctors don't seem to want to take me off them as I've had what they've said was possibly atrial fibrillation on a couple of occasions
