I’m looking through my operation history and after care which I obtained from St George’s Hyde Park Corner now at Tooting.
Interestingly initially I had high cholesterol, I had arcing in my eyes at age 29, cholesterol in my ankles and also on the tendons on the back of my hands.
Later it was stated there had been significant reversal of the deposits my ankles certainly aren’t as lumpy as they used to be, and my hands are clear. Not gone from my eyes though.if you do notice it in someone’s eyes tell them to get their cholesterol checked.Don’t know what did the trick drugs or natural but grateful.
My history I am now 76 had a triple in 1977 so 45 years and counting.

Hello
Could be a combination of everything you have done or taken that your cholesterol is lower and encouraging to hear
I needed to see a post like this I am 16 months post triple Bypass and struggling but to see your post saying you are 45 years and counting is just what I needed to read
Hi Bigscar, Thank you for flagging this up. Like you, I had arching in my eyes by the time I was 30 and I had deposits on my eyelids and heels. No one mentioned the possible significance of any of this even though I had regular eye tests with multiple opticians . I had angina on sudden excertion for years, but didn't realise that this chest discomfort was adnormal. In my late 40s things came to ahead and I was diagnosed with ischemic heart disease as a result of hypercholestrolnaemia. I've had a bypass, new arortic valve and acquired 7 stents over the intervening years as my cholesterol level proved resistant to lowering sufficiently, until recently. I'm now 70. Again, like you, the deposits on myheels and eyelids have mostly disappeared. I can't offer any conclusive reasons why, but I have been on statins for 30 years together with other cholesterol lowering drugs so maybe this is the cause or maybe its just aging. I didn't need to change my diet significantly so I don't think it was related to that. I do think that if only someone medical had commented on my eye arches and suggested a blood test when I was younger it would have saved me from a lot of discomfort and surgery and saved the NHS a lot of money.
