Heart failure Electrical EF & hereditary genes re: hemochromatosis?

Does anyone know about hereditary causes passed down through the genes for LBBB Ejection Fraction? Hemochromatosis where the body is overloaded with too much iron and causes heart failure, pancreatic cancer, diabetes and other problems. It’s hard to diagnose.

Has anyone been tested for this?

‘Hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) is a common genetic metabolic disorder characterized by excessive iron absorption and elevated serum iron levels, which accumulate in various organs, such as the heart, pancreas, and damage these organs. There are only a few articles and clinical studies describing the characteristics of cardiac involvement in HH along with the significance of early diagnosis and management in preventing complications. We compiled the data to investigate the importance of early detection of symptoms, regular monitoring, and prompt management with strict adherence to reverse or prevent complications. This article has reviewed different aspects of cardiac hemochromatosis, such as pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management. Recognition of early symptoms, diagnosis of cardiac involvement with various modalities, and implementation of early treatment are essentially the foundation of better outcomes in HH.

Cardiac arrhythmia, primary iron overload, cardiac hemochromatosis, iron overload cardiomyopathy, hereditary hemochromatosis’.

If anyone has studied this and has had the test for the hereditary gene I would like to know how you got on. I’m going to speak to my doctor and cardiologist about this when I can get an appointment.

It also said in another article if you have too much iron in your body you can set off the alarm at airports when you go through customs and this has happened to me over the years on a few occasions and I’ve had nothing metal on me and removed all jewellery!

Information can be found on the NHS site for this hereditary gene as well which can make the electrical system of the heart weaken the muscles and reduce blood flow.

That's interesting IAM wondering if this is what my husband had he was diagnosed with an electrical heart defect some 15 years ago his father had also suffered from the same. In recent years Pete has had blood tests showing high iron and enlarged red blood cells when they were trying to find out why he was having difficulty in walking because of extreme pain in his left leg and foot ,they still haven't found the answer. I am going to ask for a heamachromotisis test, in the meantime shall stop giving him food high in iron , will let you know results if they oblige.
