I am generally not keen on medication, But you were no doubt prescribed many tablets, just like me. including painkillers. And advised to keep taking the prescribed painkillers. Which I did.

Before my open heart surgery etc I used to get lots of headaches, especially migraine. But the migraines have stopped. What joy !

So no I don’t think daily headaches are expected.

I am old so no children to look after. But rest and rehab need to be followed. It is early days for you. And to get back to something like the old me, you need to recover properly.

best wishes

Sooty

I have headaches everyday which I think are caused by the medication. I have been told by my GP that this is normal and it should get better over time. I take Bisoprolol, Ramapril, Isosorbide mononitrate, Aspirin, Clopidogrel and Atorvastatin. Some of these meds are known for causing headaches. I would speak to your GP as the headaches may well be due to meds.

I meant to add to my previous reply that feeling emotional is perfectly normal after suffering from a heart event. I have also often felt emotional and the breathlessness is also normal and could also be a part of the overall anxiety you are feeling after this heart event. You will get back to the old you but don't rush it. Do it at your own pace and you will get there.
