Got this added to my usual heart cocktail last week after a trip to a+e. Finding I am even more tired than usual and not making it through the day without a good nap!

Anyone else find this and does the tiredness calm down after being on it a few weeks?

Also been referred for a stress echo if anyone can give their experience of this as i find the thought a bit scary. Thanks x

I take isosorbide and amlodopine for my angina. Do get tired some days depends on what I am doing. If I have had a busy day find the next day feel a bit flaked out.Don't know what sort of stress echo you are having, I had the one where they inject meds through a canula to raise heart rate. It wasn't too bad, took 3 lots of meds for me to get chest pain, which soon went after echo. Only downside ended up with lovely bruise under left bust as she pressed really hard there to get good picture. Although have completely blocked left artery, heart and valves working fine. Waiting for another angiogram in September as agreed to take part in trial as to whether stent is the way forward. Run by our very good cardio thoracic centre in Essex in conjunction with Imperial college. Have 50/ 50 chance of stent, will know after 6 months. As its 6 to 7 months to get stent anyway, cause of complete blockage I recon its worth it. Can still have stent at the end if I don't have it on 9th.

Thanks for your reply.I had a heart attack and stent April 2021 and fine until now then have started getting pain sometimes resting other times not.

Yes thats the echo im referred for. It just worries me that it speeds up your heart but i suppose i'll be in the best place lol

I was told at the time of heart attack that apart from the LAD which was totally blocked and therefore stented,i have a few other arteries that are slightly narrowed so hoping im not going down that route again.

I've been on it for some time now. It was reduced by half and my angina came back strongly. Was put back up again and angina is rare now. I do get tired but think it's more from the bisoprolol.

Hi I got put on isosorbide 30mg twice a day which is the maximum and this is to help my breathing when put walking As prior to this I was getting out of breath going up small inclines

I do not agree to been kept on this as when I did have heart attack consultant says I would require stent in front right side of heart when

Transfered home the heart consultant says not

And above is the outcome

Hope this helps

I'm on isosorbide mononitrate 30 mg extended release as I have microvascular angina. It's been a game changer for me as my last nuclear stress test showed no inducible ischaemia. But I did struggle with it in the early days. No so much tiredness but lots of pressure in my head. It cleared after a couple of weeks. I get tiredness from the statin I take but I have CoQ10 which makes a difference. I did a stress echo once where I had to cycle on a bike lying down which is not easy. Not sure whether you will have the same or whether they will use just chemicals to get the heart to speed up. Stress echos are a bit of a pain (not literally in my case) as it takes them a while to get the whole picture.
