Ventricular ectopy

So i’d like to post some information for anyone who’s in the same boat as me.

In 2015 I had a dizzy spell and palpitations, I was admitted to A&E for tests and all came back normal apart from palpitations.

After numerous visits to Cardiology I had a cardiac CT scan that showed normal coronary arteries. Exercise tolerance test that shown ectopics suppressed during exercise, but came back worse for a period of time after exercise.

My latest 24 hour tape showed that I was having 46,000 ectopic beats and I was in bigeminy most of the time. I was trialled on verapamil but this only reduced the burden to 8%.

So on Friday the 13th May (this year) I had an ablation to correct this. All the ectopic beats have stopped since this procedure.

I feel much better after the procedure, although a little sore. It feels very strange not feeling my heart beating in my chest all the time.

Most threads I see are for people with AF so I hope this helps others who have the same issue as me.
